Abstract

The hydrodynamics of four dissolution apparatus—viz., the USP basket, the USP paddle, the stationary basket–spinning filter, and the USP disintegration apparatus, were characterized. At higher velocities, the relationship between the intrinsic dissolution rate constant and linear velocity was parabolic rather than linear.
