The area of civil engineering is in continuously growing and news technologies of construction to suggest to increase efficiency and economy. Therefore, in that thought that construction using containers introduce yourself more advantageous, for besides offer these advantages, since it has an ecologically sustainable material. This technique is little used in our country, on the other hand, reuse this material that could be destined for inappropriate disposal in nature, and also, reduces the amount of raw material in all stages of the work. Thus, this article intends to demonstrate the potential of this material, as a constructive method, which enables greater viability when compared to traditional housing methods, to proving the applicability and advantages of containers in civil construction. This work was founded your research study based on bibliographic data, demonstrating some situations and advantages where this type of material was implemented in construction. This way it was possible to conclude that despite being a quick way, clean and sustainable, the method needs to be more widespread so that people can use it properly.
