Abstract

Subclinical mastitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus results in large economic losses in cattle breeding. One of the major challenges for producers is controlling the disease in the dairy herd. Ozone therapy is an alternative method of treatment that has been growing in veterinary medicine due to its bactericidal, antifungal and antiviral potential. However, the present study reports the use of ozonized oil in the treatment of subclinical mastitis in Jersey cows.
