Abstract

It is shown that two-dimensional (2D) Bragg resonance structures can be used for the synchronization of emission from a spatially developed laser active medium. Analysis of the dynamics of a laser with 2D distributed feedback shows that stationary lasing with a frequency and a spatial structure of the field close to the fundamental mode of a 2D Bragg resonator is possible in the structures with large values of the Fresnel parameter.
