Introduction

The growing use of hypertext systems through the Web has triggered a series of changes in information organization, storage, and retrieval concepts. Considering the terminological and conceptual models, the author identified six possible correspondence types between elements from distinct vocabularies: (1) exact correspondence, (2) synonyms, (3) generic to specific, (4), mappable to a different pre-coordination level, (6) semantic factoring, and (6) antonyms.
