Abstract

Opioid use in pregnancy has been on the rise in recent years and affects every community. Inadequate identification and treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD) often lead to poor maternal and neonatal outcomes. In 2011, a survey found that only 42% of obstetricians screened their patients for OUD.
