Abstract

The doubly fed inductor motor can be used in low-speed electric servo drives. Its mathematical model is obtained based on the well-known theory of electric machines. These models are usually created manually and therefore contain many simplifications. But in precision electric drives it is required to simulate the processes taking into consideration real non-ideal parameters of windings and motor voltages. In this paper it is proposed to apply the MathCAD program to form the models of a doubly fed inductor motor. The fragments of the MathCAD program worksheets with the results of symbolic computation are presented. A three-phase mathematical model of a doubly fed inductor motor with the conversion to a two-phase model for arbitrary parameters of windings and voltages is obtained. These models are new and have not been previously reported in any literature.
