Abstract

The article analyzes solutions for monitoring the quality of water and air based on Internet of Things technology and embedded smart systems. Modern smart technologies of Internet of Things allow to verify the water and air quality in real time using various sensors, APIs and open data. The IoT stack of technologies - Eclipse IoT, MQTT allows for fog and edge computing, as well as use big data algorithms to analyze, predict and notify users about air quality. And, according to project of the Open Data Institute and its co-author Tim Burners-Lee, data from the Internet of Things are now available in open sources, which allows developers to create a variety of mobile and web-applications based on the Internet of Things. Abroad, air quality monitoring data is available to users through real-time web applications and mobile applications. The article describes methodology for creating web application using API portal https://airkaz.org/ sensor data to measure PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles in the air. This application is designed to monitor the air quality and allows display the content of harmful substances in the air in Nur-Sultan.
