Abstract

Purpose: While the minimal acquisition time of an echo-acquisition is limited to 200 ms at 1.5T to resolve Creatine and Choline, at 3T this acquisition time may be reduced due to the higher spectral separation at higher field strength. Thus shorter echo spacings and longer echo trains become possible at 3T. Results from ultrafast single- and multiple-slice MRSI using a multiple spin-echo technique (Turbo Spectroscopic Imaging – TSI), with an echo train length of six (TSI6) and an echo spacing of 144 ms will be presented and discussed. Further it is shown that a combination with SENSE-SI becomes feasible even with long echo trains and allows for sub-minute scantimes for a 24×24 MRSI matrix in vivo.
