Abstract

Adolescents may face issues that compromise safety of themselves or others. In such crisis situations, counselors are required to assess the severity of the crisis and be able to ascertain when the client is ready to transition to a less restrictive or intensive level of care. Thus, we presented the use of the Crisis Stabilization Scale (CriSS), a tool counselors can use to evaluate client stabilization for adolescents in crisis.
