Abstract

In order to understand the fire safety of the various types of buildings, we need more flexible and efficient performance-estimating methods to verify fire protection safety in various types of buildings. This study is using the CFAST / FDS + Evac fire simulation software to analyze an old-style four-story residential and commercial mixed-use the fire case, and to explain building fire performance-based numerical evaluation methods. Utilize in the different fires heat flow transfer, toxic smoke diffusion, personnel evacuation to escape, and other important fire parameter characteristics, and to provide quantitative data and reference information. In the building the fire protection safety evaluating to produce the efficiency, to Taiwan performance-based codes creating and the building the fire protection planning and design is helpful.
