Abstract

After a presentation of a methodology for designing automated systems using systemic methods, we present the issues involved in the upgrading and the automation of industrial systems. To deal with these issues, we present a practical case of a grain silo management. The methodology proposed is divided into ten steps and it is based on the use of two systemic methods: Structured Analysis and Design Technique (SADT) and Objectives-Oriented Project Planning (OOPP). This methodology allows us to validate the automation architecture to install in the grain silo.
