Abstract

Abstract Monte Carlo simulations have been employed in the present paper to study the symmetrical six-port waveguide junction for use as the key component of a six-port reflectometer. Experimental results have additionally confirmed that the resulting reflectometer (in three possible configurations) can achieve accuracies of ±0.015 and ±2° for magnitude and phase, respectively, when measuring the reflection coefficient of a device under test between 9.7 GHz and 11.8 GHz.
