Abstract

The article describes the technology of critical thinking in the implementation of the communicative-activity approach in teaching Russian as a second language. The concept of “technology for developing critical thinking” is characterized. The features of such methods of developing critical thinking as the “Venn Diagram” and “Confused Logical Chains” are also revealed. Examples are given from our own teaching experience, which are reflected in the textbook “Russian Language” for the 8th grade of a school with the Kyrgyz language of instruction. The use of methods for developing critical thinking improves the quality of teaching, promotes the development of students’ analytical skills, and activates their speech activity.
