Abstract
Adaptive Local Wave Analysis (LWA) is a new effective method for processing non-stationary data. The characteristics of the LWA, such as having better joint time-frequency resolution than STFT, Wigner-Ville distribution and Wavelet Analysis, and without cross terms that exist in Wigner-Ville distribution analysis are to be discussed. Through simulation and application analysis, it is proven that the LWA can get the best results for analyzing non-stationary signals and diesel engine cylinder wearing faults.
