Abstract

Electronic subscriptions have added new complexities to the life cycle of resources that did not exist in the time of print. In the past, the acquisitions process often ended once a resource was added to the collection. However, with ongoing electronic resource subscriptions, the whole process begins anew at the time of renewal. This article describes ways to leverage free Google Apps throughout the electronic resource life cycle to make the process more efficient, cost-effective, and easier to manage.
