Abstract

The mathematical model of non-linear thermal processes in multi-arc welding of electric welded pipes is described. The model can be used for evaluating the changes in the structure of the welded joint produced using flux-cored wires. The microalloying elements are analysed and the results are used for studying the effect on the mechanical properties of the weld metal. Welded joints are microalloyed through the flux-cored wire, positioned on one arc in multi-arc welding. The results indicate that it is highly efficient to use the flux-cored wire in welding high-strength pipe steels for microalloying the welded joint and decreasing the heat input in welding.
