Abstract

It has been postulated in the past that diffusivities in liquids can be correlated with the excess volume or mixing. A system has been examined in which the diffusivities and excess volumes of mixing vary in a nonlinear manner with changes in concentration; however, the diffusivity is always a linear function of the excess volume of mixing.
