Abstract
The article explores the transformative role of digital innovations in strengthening the tourism sector in East Kazakhstan, a region rich in cultural and natural heritage, but insufficiently studied in the tourism industry. Due to the rapid development of digital technologies, this study aims to identify and analyze the potential impact of these advances on tourism development, focusing on marketing and improving visitor experiences. Using a mixed-method approach, the study synthesizes data from a range of sources, including a SWOT analysis of tourism development through digital technologies, as well as an overview of digital platforms in Kazakhstan. The article can be used to explore the role of digital technologies in the development of regional tourism and offers practical information to stakeholders seeking to expand the tourism industry in East Kazakhstan. Key recommendations include the development of an integrated digital platform, advanced social media marketing, and the introduction of virtual and augmented reality for tourism development in East Kazakhstan.
