Abstract

This paper describes four computerized case simulations designed for use as an adjunct to behavior therapy training. The cases simulate the assessment, diagnostic, and treatment decision-making process involved in treating various clinical problems: agoraphobia, chronic headache pain, bulimia, and cocaine abuse, from a behavioral perspective. Initial information for three simulations tested within a Clinical Psychology doctoral program and a Master of Social Work program are discussed. Structured evaluations of the simulations by the students in each program are also discussed. Finally, it is suggested how simulation of this type may be integrated into both lecture and practicum courses.
