Abstract

The article made an overview of the options for combining the cutting process and plastic deformation, the options for combined tools for holemaking were considered. The relevance of creating a new tool is explained by the difficult conditions in the formation of internal surfaces. When drilling or reaming deep holes, due to the difficulty of supplying cutting fluids, heat is not removed from the cutting zone and the chips go through the heat treatment stage and become a harmful factor for the already machined inner surface. The description of the prefabricated design of the combined reamer is described in detail and a new version is proposed, which combines multifaceted hard alloy plates on the cutting part and deforming balls on the smoothing part. A feature of the proposed design of a new tool for machining holes is the helical arrangement of the cutting and deforming elements of the reamer. The practical significance of the developed tool is confirmed by a patent for a utility model and approbation, the results of which are presented at international scientific and practical conferences
