Abstract

Herein, we reported the synthesis of cerium orthovanadate nanorods (CeVO4-NRs) using the hydrothermal methodology and its excellent performance towards the detection of anti-prostate cancer drug flutamide (FLA) sensing in biological samples. The size and structural properties of the as-prepared CeVO4-NRs was characterized through the FESEM and HRTEM. Moreover, the optical properties and chemical composition of the CeVO4-NRs was configured by the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV–Vis spectrophotometer, XRD and Raman spectroscopy. The electrocatalytic activity of CeVO4-NRs towards the detection of FLA was scrutinized through cyclic voltammetry (CV) and DPV techniques. Besides, the fabricated sensor possessed the covering range of 0.01to 57 µM and 75.26 to 507.94 µM with a lower detection limit of 1.94 nM. At the end, the FLA detection in real samples of human blood serum and urine samples at CeVO4-NRs/GCE exhibited acceptable found and recovery values.
