Abstract

In order to mitigate the severe atmospheric pollution caused by the gas emission of scattered coal consumption during winter in the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan area, a winter space heating scheme based on the use of an air source heat pump is proposed. This scheme offers clean heating in rural areas by enhancing the efficiency of electric peak adjustment through peak shifting. The paper firstly introduces how to use air source heat pumps to replace heating stoves for rural residential heating, then explains how to use this heating method to adjust power peak load. Finally, computation analysis and experimental verification was carried out to show the effects on the power grid in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area and on farmer households if all the 6 million farmer households in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region were to use this heating method.
