Abstract

The accelerated reliability testing (ART) is a useful tool to quickly obtain information about quality, reliability, maintainability, and availability of products. ART are widely used in the automotive and electrotechnical industries to estimate or verify the reliability parameters of component and system (e.g. failure rate, probability of failure, life time or time to failure), to improve product reliability through detection of potential defects, to evaluate and compare products of different manufacturers, etc. This article describes the methodology how to design the ART for electronic component in combat vehicles. The experiment has been conducted on light emitting diodes (LEDs) 10W in the condition of combat vehicles.
