Abstract

Weak effects of organic matrix and the chain length of the organic substituent on the analytical line intensities of the elements in the exciting emission spectra in a two-jet arc plasmatron were found. Using animal organs, hair, and plants as examples, it was demonstrated that the plasmatron is promising for determining trace elements in powdered biological samples without sample dissolution.
