Abstract
The ability to accurately distinguish benign from malignant pulmonary nodules based solely on imaging features is the holy grail of chest radiology. Incidentally discovered indeterminate pulmonary nodules are often subject to lengthy imaging follow-up to confirm benign behaviour (1,2). Clinico-radiological scoring systems can also be used to assess the likelihood that a given pulmonary nodule is malignant (3).
