Abstract
Introduction This paper presents the method for use the optical fibre Bragg grating sensor (FBG) in a tendon force measurement. The measurement of mechanical properties of biological materials is necessary due the new tissue materials development and musculotendon models validation. The usage of optic fibre with including FBG sensor is almost in civil engineering for a bridge deformation measurement. For a tendon measurement the fiber optics method based on light decrement was used for example in [Finni, 1998, 2000].
