Abstract

HR 2686, the Department of Interior and Related Agencies FY 1992 appropriations bill, was approved by the House on June 25. Included in the bill was $589.5 million for the U.S. Geological Survey, a $18.8 million increase over FY 1991 and $26.4 million over the president's request.The National Mapping, Geography, and Survey Program was budgeted at $137 million, $4.7 million over FY 1991 funding and $1.3 million over the president's request.
