Abstract

The use of waste, which is nowadays necessary for reducing its harmful impact on the environment, can also bring economic benefits to a waste-producing enterprise. For this reason, the development of this type of activity is relevant now and will hold promise in the foreseeable future. The aim of this study is to substantiate the economic feasibility of using waste at enterprises. The feasibility of processing and using woodworking industry waste as fuel is shown, and the efficiency of waste processing in the enterprise  own division is substantiated. The obtained study results can be used in the following fields: obtaining of thermal energy and returning it to the process cycle, recycling of industrial waste, development of recycling technologies, introduction of low-and waste-free technologies, and studying the potential of wastes produced at industrial enterprises for using them as raw material and for energy generation purposes. A conclusion has been drawn about a useful economic effect from implementation of waste usage measures and about a positive effect from the use of recycling technologies on the company financial results.
