Abstract

A wire grid model is proposed to discuss the normalized site attenuation (NSA) associated with an open area test site (OATS) with finite metallic ground plane. The NSA values for three different OATS sites around Taiwan, based on the wire grid model and measurement, are carefully examined. The agreement between the calculated and measured results supports the usefulness of the proposed wire grid model. The wire grid model is then adopted to analyze the deviation in NSA values for the LF (30-100 MHz) region.
