Abstract

The diaphragm wall method makes it possible to construct economical and unique structures under complex hydrogeological conditions owing to the possibility of taking on large horizontal loads. Theoretical and experimental investigations and domestic experience in constructing mainly complex industrial and civil structures shows the possibility of the wide use of the diaphragm wall method in constructing hydraulic structures at a high design and technological level. The necessary domestic departmental building codes are available for design and construction.
