Abstract

The purpose of the article is to use SWOT and PEST analyzes to achieve strategic guidelines for the development of the Higher Educational Institution of Ukoopspilka “Poltava University of Economics and Trade”. Methodology of research. The achievements of the article are made with the help of the following general and special research methods: analysis, synthesis and logical generalization; grouping method; expert method. Findings. The SWOT-analysis is a universal method for studying the internal environment of HEE it also gives the information to the administration which is needed to be selected as a strategy. Let’s consider also PEST analysis. This is a consistent, step-by-step analysis of factors. It is a useful tool for the market understanding, the positions of HEE, its potential and directed activity. PEST analysis is a tool designed to identify aspects of the environment that can affect the strategy of HEE. SWOT-analysis is done and PEST-analysis for a particular HEE and strategic conclusions are made.The analysis of the eco-environment of the Higher Educational Institution of Ukoopspilka “Poltava University of Economics and Trade” allowed to build a SWOT-matrix of strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the development of the university. The identified opportunities and threats to the development of the Higher Educational Institution of Ukoopspilka “Poltava University of Economics and Trade” will be the basis for calculations of PEST-analysis, which takes into account changes in university development in the long run by taking into account groups of macro-environmental factors: political, economic, sociodemographic and technological. Practical value. Recommendations for leveling the negative and strengthening the positive impact of factors on the development of the Higher Educational Institution of Ukoopspilka “Poltava University of Economics and Trade” in a strategic perspective.
