Abstract

Abstract The objectives of the environmental monitoring program conducted at CANEL are presented with a description of the program as it is presently being conducted. Information on the selection of sampling locations and of a proper sampling frequency is given. Some new approaches using statistical methods in the analysis of environmental monitoring data are presented. Statistical methods including quality control techniques, “t” tests and analysis of variance are described in relation to the analysis of data to detect significant changes and trends.
