Abstract

A procedure and results are discussed for practical use of static probing to determine the variability of soil characteristics at the site of a slab foundation. Results processed on a computer are presented in the form of three-dimensional plots displayed on a computer minitor. The program also makes it possible to obtain plan views of the lower surface of the foundation with isolines of soil characteristics.
