Abstract

Precise gas viscosity measurements of Kestin and coworkers and a simple capillary viscometer have been used to test the classical slip correction at 25°C and one atmosphere pressure. The results indicate that for capillaries with diameters between 0.015 and 0.025 cm. this correction is two to three times smaller than normally used.
