Abstract
Performance measurement techniques (financial and non-financial) has recognised as very important tool for transforming an organization’s strategy into desired behaviours and results. Though there are contradictory view among the researchers about the usage of traditional performance measures in today’s business environment. This study will investigate the existing methods of measuring business performance by the owner/manager of MSMEs in Tripura. Specifically, researcher will examine two important aspects of performance measurement techniques. These are the awareness about the different financial and non-financial performance measurement techniques among the respondents and the usage of these techniques for measuring their business performance. Given the lack of research into this area, the present study will provide a useful insights.
