Abstract

Problems requiring the use of computers in experimental and theoretical high energy physics come from the complexity and the amount of data which must be analyzed in large center of mass energy experiments and from the development of lattice gauge solutions to QCD. The problems of triggering and event processing via new processor technology and high level language (FORTRAN) are reviewed. FORTRAN and parallel computer technology used in lattice gauge calculations are reviewed. (AIP)
