Abstract
Parkerizing is a procedure for the production of phosphate films on articles made of ferrous and nonferrous metals. Many years of practice have shown that it is expedient to parkerize beforehand all metal articles and constructions (including fittings) which receive a paint or varnish finish, since this reduces the number of paint and varnish coatings and replaces the expensive paints and varnishes by cheaper and readily available maerials.
