Abstract
1. Values of the rate constants for quenching of the triplet state of duroquinone by transition-metal salts have been obtained. Quenching follows an exhange—resonance mechanism. 2. The durosemiquinone radical can form either from the triplet, or the excited singlet, state of the duroquinone.
