Abstract

In this work, Flame Spray Pyrolysis (FSP) technique has been used to synthesize the nanoparticles of titanium dioxide (TiO2) for dye sensitized photovoltaic cells (DSPVs). X-ray diffraction (XRD) has been employed to characterize the phase structure and ratios of TiO2 made by FSP. The dye used to fabricate cells is a commercial dye N719. In particular, a reference DSPV (REF) has been constructed utilizing the reference titanium electrode which is sold by Solaronix S.A, in order to compare the photovoltaic (PV) performance with the cell made by FSP powder. As a result, the power conversion efficiency of cells are 2.47% and 7.66% for DSPV made by FSP powder and REF DSPV, respectively.
