Abstract

The ability of dispersed systems of fine Au, C and Ba particles to emit electrons under excitation by pulsed infrared (IR)-laser irradiation allows their utilization as photocathodes for a wider IR band than conventional pholocathodes. These systems can be used as the sensitive element in devices for both the recording of IR-laser irradiation with high time resolution, and for visualizing the intensity distribution in IR-laser beams with high spatial resolution.
