Abstract

Background: Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a common medical problem in adolescents with significant impact on wellbeing. For patients with bothersome bleeding despite single-agent medical therapy, use of concurrent hormonal agents is a recognized approach but is not well studied. The aim of this study is to describe the population treated with concurrent hormonal therapies in a pediatric and adolescent gynecology (PAG) clinic, the various combination of agents used, and their effect on bleeding patterns.
