Abstract

Experiments on liquid-phase oxidation of H2S with oxygen in the presence of catalysts, cobalt phthalocyanine sulfonates CoPc(SO3Na)n, were performed on a laboratory static installation in order to find conditions under which a stationary oxidation mode can be established at pH ≥ 8. The influence exerted by additional introduction of a soluble salt of Mn2+ (MnSO4, MnCl2) into the reaction mixture at various pH values was studied.
