Abstract

Diagnosing subtle lung cancer on chest radiography is a formidable challenge for the radiologists. Computer-aided diagnosis systems are increasingly being used as a "second reader" to reduce the number of overlooked lung cancers. Studies have demonstrated computer-aided diagnosis systems to be beneficial and have the potential to change the paradigm of lung cancer detection.
