Abstract
The sagittal split ramus osteotomy (SSRO) is one of the most widely used and versatile mandibular osteotomies. Clinical experience and the current literature have been shown the need for an effective technique for splitting the mandibular ascending ramus. Proper split of the mandibular ascending ramus at the time of surgery is critical for achieving a stable and functional result.1,2
