Abstract

The article is devoted to topical issues of introduction of artificial intelligence and other modern technologies in sports. The authors of the article emphasize that the modern world is changing due to the spread of the latest information technologies. The field of sports is also actively involved in this process. It is artificial intelligence that helps players realize their skills in the virtual world. Also, artificial intelligence has long been used in the training of athletes in various sports: from the analysis of information about the physical condition of athletes to the simulation of a game or a sports match. Moreover, by analyzing a wealth of data on existing sports and based on the needs of fans and athletes, artificial intelligence helps to create new sports. It is noteworthy that the most dynamically developing sport is currently e-sports. In terms of capitalization, e-sports can already compete with the entire “traditional” sports industry. E-sports has the best prospects for development, taking into account in the context of the spread of modern information technology, especially – given the formation of full-fledged virtual worlds such as the meta-universe of Mark Zuckerberg. As the process of integrating new technologies into sports intensifies, so will the need for proper legal quasi-legal regulation of sports and related relations. After all, if artificial intelligence already chooses the winning strategy of the race for Formula 1 pilots, will it not be considered a violation of the fundamental principles of sport as such? Accordingly, proper regulation of relations in the field of sports arising in connection with the use of modern technologies, among other things, should ensure equal conditions for athletes, because otherwise such attractions of sports as competitiveness, competitiveness, unpredictability of competition results may be leveled.
