Abstract

This article examines the design of a computer-assisted laser vibration meter that uses a special reflecting film stuck to the vibrating surface to eliminate the need for adjustments. Algorithms are proposed to estimate vibrational velocity by digitally analyzing signals from the output of a photodetector designed to detect laser radiation. An example of the use of an approximation algorithm is presented and estimates are made of its accuracy characteristics.
