Abstract

This paper describes the use, by the author, of the method of analysis of content in de veloping a new Human Behavior and Social Environment Sequence and describes the sequence as it was developed at the School of Social Welfare, Louisiana State University. Analysis of course content in her own and other schools resulted in iden tifying the following unifying concepts. These concepts, together with the bridging concepts which provided conceptual links between aspects of course content, provided a common terminology for teaching knowl edge from both behavioral and social science theories:
