Abstract

Chemistry is a science that requires high degree of abstraction for your understanding as it relates macroscopic, microscopic and symbolic phenomena. For the chemical knowledge is understood in teaching situations, we make use of teaching models, which highlight the analogies. However, these can be harmful to education, if there is careful to avoid its abuse, a didactic contract effect. This paper presents a comparison between analogies of usage situations in two different surveys conducted in Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco, in which we analyze the abusive use of analogies, as didactic contract effect in Higher Education, noting research situations in two degree courses chemistry, the same educational institution. We found a fine line between the use of analogies and the incidence in a situation of abuse, didactic contract effect trivializes the school.
