Abstract

Problems in the non-destructive acoustic testing of layered materials are formulated. The characteristic features of elastic wave propagation in such materials are considered. Acoustical models of layered materials are proposed. Changes in elastic wave parameters connected with layer adhesion are analyzed. Experimental data for chromium-coated cast iron and directed-porosity material prepared from aluminum foil are given.
